Open House
When Livonia Opportunity House (LOH) opened in 1980, it was home to 16 men and women with developmental disabilities. Currently all residents at LOH have a bedroom of their own. The kitchen was recently renovated and much of the home is being painted. This was made possible through the use of replacement reserve funds held by Michigan State Housing Development Authority, the holder of LOH’s mortgage. Pride of personal space, peacefulness, and enthusiasm describe some of the feelings among those living at LOH. Until recently, LOH was the only home affiliated with COC where people shared bedroom space...no more! We welcome the opportunity to share the renewed LOH with an open house.
