Tee Off for A Friend
Our eleventh annual golf outing, "Tee Off for A Friend," will occur on Thursday, August 20, 2009.
Location: Fox Hills Golf & Banquet Center, 8768 N. Territorial, Plymouth
Time: 9:30 a.m. Shotgun Tee Off
Together with the Plymouth Community United Way, Community Opportunity Center will again host this sensational event. This year Community Opportunity Center will be granted additional opportunities to secure golfers, so if you are interested in golfing, get your registration in soon.
The five courses that sprawl the grounds of this award winning golf haven will be filled with 368 golfers. DTE is the main sponsor of the day, and Johnson Controls is one of the co-sponsors.
The morning begins with an opportunity to loosen up with practice balls at the driving range and putting green and a continental breakfast. A 9:30 shotgun start will initiate the beginning of an enjoyable day of golf. Lunch will be served on the course, beverage carts will keep everyone refreshed, and the day will conclude with presentation of awards and the distribution of gifts while everyone enjoys an exquisite meal. Golf and all amenities is $175 per person.
The Annual Golf Outing has become the centerpiece of our fund raising, so we rely on and greatly appreciate the support and involvement of all who work together to make this event successful.
How You Can Help
We must secure 268 gifts valued at $25 or more as part of our commitment to ensuring the success of this event. Gift certificates to restaurants and local businesses are always appreciated. Larger gifts, such as golf for four at a local golf course, are raffled off as an additional way to raise money.
We are seeking companies and businesses who wish to purchase a Tee Sign or become a Lunch or Driving Range Sponsor. Each of these identifies the business or company who is helping us meet our fundraising goals, both on the course and in the program that is given to all who attend. Donors are also recognized in our newsletter.
We also need people to volunteer their time the day of the Golf Outing. You may offer your assistance for a full or half day.
