Eligibility Requirements
To live in a Community Opportunity Center (COC) residence, a person must be at least age 18 and have a developmental disability.
People considered for housing are either on the COC waiting list (prioritized by date of application) or are referred by one of the local community mental health agencies. These agencies are Wayne Center and Community Living Services.
Individuals are encouraged to complete an application with COC as early as possible, even before age 18. Once completed, they and their families and friends will be kept informed of social and recreational activities, training opportunities and legislative news affecting housing and assistance to people with developmental disabilities.
